![]() ![]() When doing a windows update the wifi drivers updated, for me, and broke my wifi. Your external drive should now show up in the list. When asked to select a drive and it's blank, open the Advanced drive properties then check USB drives. It's free and you don't have to be forced to install windows home. It was a nightmare to get windows working and it never worked properly, for some reason. (I have a 2017 macbook pro not sure if it's the same) I do not believe you have the T2 chip, so there are no options to disable. You can safely ignore booting into recovery mode, since you have a 2017 Macbook Air. THIS guide is what I used to do so and it worked on Big Sur. Works perfect, but the little thing gets HOT, so maybe use a portable SSD instead. ![]() I use an external NVME 1TB drive for windows in a USB3 enclosure. You're going to use up all your space and for what? If you want to install windows, I would suggest to install it using an external SSD. ![]() Honestly, 68GB is not enough to partition. ![]()
